Bike-Tour 2019

Stiftung Schweizer Chirurgen in Äthiopien

Motivate us to cycle as many miles as possible: support a biker or make a donation for the bike tour 2019.
No matter which donation you choose, the Swiss surgeons in Ethiopia thank you on behalf of the Ethiopian patients.

Accident or trauma is the number one cause of death and disability in Africa. That is why I have been committed for decades to keeping a training hospital for trauma surgery in Jimma functional. GO STAR is the only point of contact and hope for adequate treatment for 25 million people. These bike tours allow me to show our sponsors the beauty but also the misery of Africa and enable them to visit our hospital, where we finance an operation with 30 francs.

I'm so lucky that I met Pele (my white brother).
With joy I support Pele in his actions to bring the donors closer to Ethiopia and to support them in convincing this project in the best possible way.
His training program for trauma surgeons is unique in Africa, many accidentally injured Ethiopians have already been helped and unnecessary amputations prevented.
Every time I think about it, I see an improvement and a hope for Ethiopia. I gladly took on these tasks:
Tollinger Judy - Organization GoStar Medical Center in Jimma, organization of GoStar bike tours through Ethiopia

With much pleasure, I show everyone the diversity and beauties of Ethiopia
I would like to thank everyone who contributes to this project through donations or personal dedication.

The meeting with Pelé about 15 years ago was a real shock. I met a brother! of course, I accepted when he asked me to visit with him his foundation in Ethiopia.
What I saw with him in our hospital changed my life forever. When I saw the miracles he performed every day, I could not help but take part in this foundation.
Meanwhile we are in our 3rd adventure with great results for our fantastic foundation.
A real adventure to be human!

Despite my 35-year abstinence from cycling, I drive fully motivated in this adventure Ethiopia, because I am 100% convinced by the project and this can connect with my reputation as a snake woman, which you otherwise almost only experienced on stage.
I am looking forward to a country that is completely unknown to me and also to the steps there, which first include my full commitment as an ambassador, so that as many people as possible can be convinced to also make a financial contribution in favor of the accident victims.

I know Dr. Peltzer for more than 30 years. "Pelé", I happened to meet while skiing and have since done some trips and other sports activities with him.
For more than 12 years he has often spoken to me about the hospital in Jimma and the Swiss Surgeons Foundation in Ethiopia.
I participated in the previous adventure, which unfortunately could not develop as planned in Ethiopia. The idea of supporting a hospital in Ethiopia as much as I can afford is very important to me and I take part in the bike tour. Mountain biking across the country to raise funds for the operation, upgrading and upgrading of hospitals is also very motivating.

My motto is: I'm pedaling for Ethiopia
I decided this year to contribute to the poorest in the world.
For this project, I will be on the go all year round with the bike looking for donations. It is my goal to make as many people as possible aware of these abuses of medical care and to motivate them for a donation. I am convinced that every donated franc will benefit the Trauma Surgery Hospital in Jimma. Get to know a group of like-minded people and people in Ethiopia.

My meeting with Dr. Peltzer is dated 05.10. 2012 in the emergency department of Delémont. And yes, passionate about motor sport, my bike crossed a pole, conclusion: 2 legs with multiple fractures and risk of amputation. I am an example of the work and the man Jörg Peltzer does and what he does every day at the hospital and for the Foundation. After 12 operations, I normally come back and be part of this beautiful adventure. What better than to be at his side to thank him ... Thank you Pelé

It was my meeting with dr. Jörg Peltzer, who has opened my eyes to the situation of medical infrastructure (and especially traumatology) in Ethiopia. His dedication, persistence and the emotion with which he spoke to me about his project have moved me and made it clear that this concern needs ambassadors far beyond the borders of Switzerland to promote this exceptional clinic project, which Dr. Peltzer has created and keeps alive for years.
